Day 11 – Cartagena, Columbia

Today was a brief look at Cartagena by land and sea.  We had the opportunity to visit both the Old City and the new modern area.  Then we proceeded to San Felipe Fortress.

We arrived at Colon before the ship so we were forced to amuse ourselves.

Then we toured the areas that were once US Military Installations.  We visited a beautiful hotel that once was a training facility for the military.

Day Nine – Panama Canal

Today we started early – Around 6:00 we began lining up for the trip through the locks.  It was well after lunch by the time the ship went through the Gatun Locks and we watched from land.
