Well it’s been a week since we picked up the RV from Fresno and we are at Goose Lake, Oregon. The first day we got a late start from Fresno, so we made it to Yosemite, but by the time we got there the park was full. Night came too fast, so we had no choice but to pull over into a rest stop at Tioga Pass for a few hours. The next morning we woke to a beautiful view overlooking a lake and snow capped mountains. Our goal to get out of the Fresno heat was a success!
The next day we found a campground just south of Susanville off 395 called Antelope Lake. (Elevation 5000 Feet) We had a wonderful three night stay in the pine woods. We went swimming in the lake and probably should have stayed there a few more days. The morning we decided to leave for Goose Lake, Hal took a header onto a curb and broke four ribs. We, of course, didn’t know this at the time so we continued on to Goose Lake that night. The next day we went to the hospital for x-rays. He has been happily taking his meds ever since. We decided to stay here until he feels more like traveling again.
